Join us and our partners this Saturday, April 17th for the #donttrashdat community clean up day!
From @resilient_nola: @cityofnola and New Orleans Redevelopment Authority announced a milestone of 100 homes in Gentilly with green infrastructure installations as a part of the Community Adaptation Program! πŸ‘πŸ‘βœ… Our vision at Water Wise is for every home in New Orleans to manage stormwater where it falls. We have competed over 160 green infrastructure installations that manage 55,000 gallons of stormwater and we are excited to see the City and the New Orleans Redevelopment Authority complete this milestone! More of these projects means improved drainage, not only on personal property, but also less strain on our antiquated drainage infrastructure system. Want to learn more about implementing green infrastructure on your property? Join us for Green Infrastructure 101 Workshop on Saturday May 1st at 10am. Register using the link in our bio. πŸ’š
Join us April 17th for a community clean up in the TremΓ©, 7th Ward or Upper 9th Ward or plan your own clean up! #donttrashdat
Today we harvested the last of the collard greens grown by @prevostkatherine πŸ˜ŠπŸ’š but we are really excited for our spring crops, especially for the yard long beans and the new growth from our mirliton! What are you most excited to be growing this season?
Today we wrapped up our Green Infrastructure Challenge site visits! We currently have 7 different sites we are working with with a whole lot of flooding issues πŸ’§! We are excited to see these sites be transformed and less runoff for our drainage system. Stay tuned πŸ™Œ
Today we held our little press event for the Don’t Trash Dat! Campaign. A 2 year campaign to help prevent litter from reaching Lake Pontchartrain (and eventually the Gulf of Mexico). Join us on April 17, 2021 for a community clean up event. Link in the bio to join! βœ…πŸ’šπŸ‘
