What does Water Wise and Trees have in common? —stormwater management 💧While we are not a tree planting organization, trees are the most common type of green infrastructure in our city. Mature trees can drink up to 1,000 gallons of water per day❗️The Bunny Friend Neighborhood Association has been working with its residents to increase the tree count along N Galvez. Today we planted 25 trees in the public right of way with support from @parksandparkways 🙌🌳 thank you to @handsonnola and the volunteers from Milwaukee for helping us. And to our Water Wise Neighborhood Champion, Ruby Augustine, for storing the trees and supplies.
